Nightweed is from Arizona --  Mesa, Arizona, to be specific (click here to open a map in a new window).  Mesa is part of metropolitan Phoenix, a growing urban sprawl in the middle of the Sonoran desert.

We are three band members - Rick, Keith, and Alicia (aka Angry Girl) - and we write all our own music and lyrics.  Rick plays guitar, Alicia plays drums, and Keith plays everything else.

Nightweed is also a bit different from other bands because both Keith and Alicia sing lead vocals.  We have punk and classic rock influences but the songs cover a wide range of moods.

Alicia's songs are angry and full of attitude.  Rick's melancholy guitar solo in Rain, on the other hand, sends chills down one's spine.  And Keith's songs tend toward the frustrated and anxious.

Nightweed is also a jam band, but we only play our jams live and we encourage people to record and share them.  We love playing private parties and can usually be persuaded to squeeze them into our schedule! 

As for our next CD, we already have the basic outline of songs.  This CD will feature a harder edge over all as well as more songs for Alicia to sing.  If you want to find out more CLICK HERE.
